About Me
Who is Captain Safia Hosein?
Although I’m still searching for the answer, here’s a little about myself.
A helicopter pilot by profession, I became the first female pilot to fly the Royal Family in a Middle Eastern country. I’ve deployed and flown on four continents and nine countries, sometimes landing in airports as the first female pilot to exit a helicopter. Ten years after standing on the summit of the highest peak in Africa, I had the honor of becoming the first citizen of Trinidad and Tobago to summit the highest peak in Antarctica. My curiosity for the mountains also led me to the summit of the highest peak on the European continent, becoming the first woman from my country to do so. Besides flying, I dabble in photography and enjoy writing and travel. My ‘off the beaten path’ interests have led me to all seven continents and to over a third of the world’s countries.
I like to think all experiences teach me how to live.
I created this website to help inspire anyone with a dream or ambition. I believe in ‘If you can see it, you can be it. You don’t have to be special to do it.’
I invite you to join me here, on Instagram- @pilotsandpassports, Facebook- Safia Hosein as I navigate the skies, expeditions and new places on wild adventures around the globe.
